Stephan Joseph "Steve" Kornacki, Jr. (born August 22, 1979) is an American political writer and television host, known for his work as the senior political writer at Salon.com, his hosting duties of programs on MSNBC, and for the articles he has written for ''The New York Observer,'' ''The Wall Street Journal'', ''The New York Times'', the New York ''Daily News'', the ''New York Post'', ''The Boston Globe'', and ''The Daily Beast''. Kornacki is the Monday anchor of the MSNBC program ''MTP Daily'' airing from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern Time and political analyst during MSNBC’s daytime coverage of live, breaking news leading up to the 2016 election. ==Early life== Stephan Joseph Kornacki was born in Groton, Massachusetts, to Stephan Joseph Kornacki, Sr., and Anne Ramonas. He has an older sister, Kathryn Kornacki, who graduated from University of Connecticut.
